Found Object

A “found object” is a sound element recorded from daily life, and modified electronically or by means of a computer.

In Elli’s releases, found objects will act as musical instruments. Since every object is connected with the person using it, they will represent a “human” element, complementary to the technological use of electronic devices and computers.

So far, two of our albums have used found objects as main musical sources : the duo Stahlstuhl uses school chairs, manipulated through live electronics, while the Finnish composer Otso is more oriented toward the use of soundscape elements derived from a variety of field recordings he made in Northern Europe.
